saṃgacchadhvaṃ saṃvadadhvaṃ saṃ vo manāṃsi jānatām | devā bhāgaṃ yathā pūrve saṃjānānā upāsate ||
“Move together. Speak together. Let your minds know together, as the gods of old, being of one accord, approached their share.”
Vedika source-faithful rendering checked against Rigveda 10.191.2; not a quoted published translation.
“The Vedic vision of harmony begins with shared movement, speech, and intention.”
Move together, speak together, let your minds know together. Rigveda 10.191.2
Vedika commentary
This hymn does not ask people to erase difference. It asks a community to move, speak, and deliberate in a way that makes shared purpose possible. Harmony here is active: it is created through listening, truthful speech, and common intention. In the Vedic imagination, collective life is not built by vague togetherness, but by disciplined speech and shared intent.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
