आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतोऽदब्धासो अपरीतास उद्भिदः । देवा नो यथा सदमिद् वृधे असन्नप्रायुवो रक्षितारो दिवेदिवे ॥
ā no bhadrāḥ kratavo yantu viśvato 'dabdhāso aparītāsa udbhidaḥ | devā no yathā sadam id vṛdhe asann aprāyuvo rakṣitāro dive-dive ||
“May beneficial intentions come to us from every side—undeceived, unhindered, breaking through; may the gods be with us continually for our growth, unaging protectors day by day.”

Vedika commentary
Openness is not the same as accepting every idea without judgment. The mantra welcomes what is bhadra—beneficial, auspicious and conducive to flourishing—from every direction. It joins receptivity with discernment: wisdom may arrive from beyond our familiar circle, yet it must still be tested by whether it nourishes truth, growth and wellbeing.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
