29 August 2026 · The highest devotee sees the presence of Bhagavān in all beings and all beings within Bhagavān.
श्रीहविरुवाच सर्वभूतेषु यः पश्येद् भगवद्भावमात्मनः । भूतानि भगवत्यात्मन्येष भागवतोत्तमः ॥ ४५ ॥
śrī-havir uvāca sarva-bhūteṣu yaḥ paśyed bhagavad-bhāvam ātmanaḥ | bhūtāni bhagavaty ātmany eṣa bhāgavatottamaḥ || 45 ||
“Śrī Havir said: The one who sees the presence of Bhagavān in all beings, and all beings in Bhagavān as the self, is the highest devotee.”

Vedika commentary
What we habitually see determines how we respond. If another being is viewed only as useful, difficult or irrelevant, care contracts. The verse trains a devotional vision in which every encounter remains related to Bhagavān, even when wise boundaries are necessary.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
