“Vedika interpretation: Fear can make us see a threat where love once existed.”
Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa, Ayodhyā Kāṇḍa 8
Vedika commentary
Fear can turn a relationship into a competition before facts have changed. Vedika's psychological reading asks us to test the threatening story we have accepted, without excusing the harm of our choices.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
