Vedika paraphrase

“Vedika interpretation: Wisdom offered is not the same as wisdom heard.”

Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa, Kiṣkindhā Kāṇḍa 15

Vedika commentary

Good advice cannot help when pride refuses to hear it. The practice is not passive obedience to every warning, but giving reasoned counsel a real chance to change our decision.

Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
