Rāma against Kumbhakarṇa

Woken from his sleep, the giant devours vānaras and carries off Sugrīva. Rāma cuts him down limb by limb and finally takes his head with an Aindra weapon.

Rāvaṇa faints at the news, then blames himself for banishing Vibhīṣaṇa. Later Indrajit returns to the field and breaks the vānaras' spirit by killing a false Sītā before their eyes.
