Rāma against Rāvaṇa
Every head Rāma cuts grows back. Agastya comes to teach him the Āditya-hṛdayam. Mātali urges him to use the Brahmāstra. It strikes Rāvaṇa's heart.

At Rāma's word Lakṣmaṇa consecrates Vibhīṣaṇa as king of Laṅkā, and Hanumān is sent to carry the news to Sītā. The return to Ayodhyā comes later.
