The story, beat by beat

  1. Hanumān leaps the ocean from Mount Mahendra
  2. He searches Laṅkā by night and sees the Puṣpaka
  3. He finds Sītā under the śiṃśapā tree in the Aśoka grove
  4. Sītā refuses to be carried away in secret
  5. Hanumān kills Akṣa and lets himself be captured
  6. Laṅkā burns; the crest jewel returns to Rāma

Hanumān speaks to Sītā in the Aśoka grove and carries her crest jewel back to Rāma.
