“But that, in Him, is of the nature of supreme love.”
Vedika source-faithful rendering checked against Nārada Bhakti Sūtra 2; not a quoted published translation.
“Nārada defines devotion not as duty alone, but as supreme love for the Divine.”
Bhakti is of the nature of supreme love for the Divine. Nārada Bhakti Sūtra 2
Vedika commentary
This sūtra keeps bhakti simple and demanding. Devotion is not reduced to emotion, ritual, or identity. It is supreme love: a reorientation of the heart toward the Divine. Such love can include worship, remembrance, service, and surrender, but it is not exhausted by any one form. Bhakti is love that purifies because it moves beyond self-preoccupation.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
