“Therefore, without attachment, continually perform the action that ought to be done; for, acting without attachment, a person reaches the highest.”
Vedika source-faithful rendering checked against Bhagavad Gītā 3.19; not a quoted published translation.
“Kṛṣṇa directs Arjuna toward sustained, necessary action while loosening attachment to what action may deliver.”
Therefore, without attachment, continually perform the action that ought to be done; acting without attachment, a person reaches the highest. Bhagavad Gītā 3.19
Vedika commentary
Non-attachment is not carelessness. The verse says to perform kārya karma—the action that ought to be done—and to do it continually. What is released is not responsibility but the demand that outcomes secure identity, praise or control. This creates a steadier form of effort: attentive to means, committed to duty, yet able to meet results without being possessed by them.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
