“As by watering the root of a tree its trunk, limbs and branches are satisfied, and as by offering nourishment to life the senses are satisfied, so worship of Acyuta is the honouring of all.”
Vedika close rendering checked against the Bhāgavata Sanskrit and Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava translation; Acyuta is retained as a name of Bhagavān.
“Coherent devotion begins at the sustaining root and should become visible in nourished branches.”
Śrīmad Bhāgavata Purāṇa 4.31.14
Vedika commentary
Scattered effort can lose its animating purpose. The verse asks devotion to return to Bhagavān as its centre—not so that the branches are ignored, but so that service is ordered by a living relationship rather than fragmented obligation.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
