स तु दीर्घकालनैरन्तर्यसत्कारासेवितो दृढभूमिः ॥ १.१४ ॥
sa tu dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkārāsevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ || 1.14 ||
“That practice, cultivated for a long time, without interruption and with reverence, becomes firmly grounded.”

Vedika commentary
Bursts of motivation can start change but rarely stabilise it. A modest practice repeated with care creates ground strong enough to hold when enthusiasm disappears.
Vedika distinguishes the original Sanskrit, a literal rendering, and an interpretive paraphrase so that the words of the text are never confused with explanation.
