சிற்றஞ்சிறு காலே வந்துன்னைச் சேவித்துன் பொற்றாமரையடியே போற்றும் பொருள் கேளாய் பெற்றம் மேய்த்துண்ணும் குலத்தில் பிறந்து நீ குற்றேவல் எங்களைக் கொள்ளாமல் போகாது இற்றைப் பறை கொள்வான் அன்று காண் கோவிந்தா எற்றைக்கும் ஏழேழ் பிறவிக்கும் உன் தன்னோடு உற்றோமே ஆவோம் உனக்கே நாம் ஆட்செய்வோம் மற்றை நம் காமங்கள் மாற்றேலோர் எம்பாவாய்

ciṟṟañ-ciṟu kālē vantunnai cēvittun poṟṟāmarai aṭiyē pōṟṟum poruḷ kēḷāy peṟṟam mēyttuṇṇum kulattil piṟantu nī kuṟṟēval eṅkaḷaik koḷḷāmal pōkātu iṟṟaip paṟai koḷvān aṉṟu kāṇ kōvintā eṟṟaikkum ēḻēḻ piṟavikkum un taṉṉōṭu uṟṟōmē āvōm uṉakkē nām āṭceyvōm maṟṟai nam kāmaṅkaḷ māṟṟēlōr empāvāy

“In the small hours we came to serve You and praise Your golden-lotus feet—hear our purpose. Born among those who live by tending cattle, You cannot refuse our intimate service. Govinda, this is not merely to receive today’s drum. For ever, through seven times seven births, may we be joined with You; we shall serve You alone. Transform our other desires.”
